1. What we collect

Birth details. To compute a report we ask for a birth date, optionally a birth time and birth place, and, for some reports, a name (the numerology report needs a full name; other reports use a first name only to address you). For the compatibility report we ask for the same details for a second person; you are responsible for having their permission to enter them. These details are processed by our own software to calculate planetary positions and are stored together with the generated report so you can open it again from the link we send you.

Email. When you ask to receive a report we store the email you enter, use it to deliver that report, and, only if you tick the consent box, to send you new readings and offers from Orbela. Every email carries an unsubscribe link.

Notifications. If you allow browser notifications, we store the anonymous push subscription your browser issues so we can send you readings. You can revoke it anytime in your browser settings.

Cookies and usage data. We set first-party cookies for an anonymous visitor id, your language and country, the source that brought you here (campaign parameters) and, when you have asked for a report, a signed token that lets you reopen your reports without a password. We record basic usage telemetry (pages visited, steps completed, report requested) to run the service and measure which pages work.

Orbela Plus. If you subscribe, payment is handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. We store the subscription status and identifiers Stripe sends us so we know your subscription is active.

2. How we use it

We use your data to provide and operate Orbela, deliver the alerts and emails you opt into, process payments, measure conversion, run product experiments (A/B tests), and improve the product. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

3. Third-party services

Authentication and data storage are handled by Supabase. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never store your card number, CVC, or full card details, only a Stripe customer ID. Hosting is provided by Vercel. Transactional email is delivered through Resend. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from your Google profile.

Birth-place search uses city data from GeoNames.org, licensed under CC BY 4.0; your queries are matched against a copy of that data on our servers and are not sent to GeoNames. Report and daily-reading emails are delivered through an email infrastructure provider acting on our behalf. Reports are computed entirely by our own software; no birth details are sent to third-party interpretation services.

4. Advertising

Free accounts may be shown ads served through Google’s ad network (Google Ad Manager) and certified ad partners. These third-party vendors use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Opting out disables interest-based targeting only; you may still see non-personalized, contextual ads. Paid subscribers are not shown ads.

You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google My Ad Center or aboutads.info. To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from partner sites.

5. Push notifications

If you enable push notifications, we store your browser push subscription endpoint to deliver the alerts you opted into. You can disable push at any time from your browser settings or your account page.

6. Cookies and analytics

We use first-party cookies for your authentication session, locale preference, an anonymous visitor ID, and campaign attribution (UTM parameters), which also power our product experiments. Usage telemetry (page views, clicks, feature usage) is collected on our own infrastructure and mirrored to PostHog for product analytics.

7. Data retention

Reports and the birth details attached to them are kept so you can reopen them from your link and so we can compute new readings you ask for. You can request deletion of your reports and your email at any time by writing to support@glowclue.com; we delete them within 30 days, except for billing records we must keep for accounting purposes.

8. Your rights

You can access, update, or delete your account at any time from the app, or request a data export or deletion by emailing support@glowclue.com. Depending on where you live, the following data protection laws grant you additional rights:

GDPREuropean Union, EEA & United Kingdom

General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679) and UK GDPR

We process your personal data on the legal bases of contract performance (providing the service you signed up for), consent (push notifications, marketing emails), and legitimate interest (security, product analytics). You have the right to access, rectify, erase, and receive a portable copy of your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

LGPDBrazil

Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (Law No. 13,709/2018)

You have the right to confirmation that we process your data, access to it, correction of incomplete or outdated data, anonymization or deletion of unnecessary data, portability to another provider, information about who we share data with, and revocation of consent. Requests are handled by the data controller identified above. You may also file a complaint with the ANPD (Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados).

CCPA/CPRACalifornia, United States

California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, to request its deletion or correction, to opt out of its sale or sharing (we do not sell personal information), to limit use of sensitive personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

9. Children's privacy

Orbela is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children; if you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and database row-level security. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time and will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of Orbela after changes constitutes acceptance.
